Guantanamo

Sad and moving short story. Despite being detained for 7 years, “he has no hate for the American people". At the same time, in a February 2012 poll, 70% of Americans replied they approve the continued operation of Guantanamo. Four years ago, Obama promised to close the gulag – sorry, the "camp" – and instead, not only continued it, but signed an order "that moved to set into law the already existing practice on Guantanamo of holding detainees indefinitely without charge". Does anyone care or has time managed to make insufferable practices "normal"?
