Skyscrapers, Central, Hong Kong

Notice how the two buildings seem to spring up from the park (it's the Hong Kong Park). I find interesting the contrast between nature and modernity, between green and blue, but also the parallels that can be made between the two in their attempt to structure and organise: clear park layout versus the naturally chaotic growth of plants, architecture of the two buildings taming materials to create a symmetrical configuration.

Skyscrapers in Hong Kong

For the sake of comparison, here is the contrast between ancestral and modern structures in Singapore.
